To be recruited by a college, does it matter what high school you attend as long as you are showcasing? If you showcased and performed well would it matter if you played for a really good high school team or a bad one? Thank you.
Other than the fact that the stronger programs tend to have connections to colleges which weaker schools may not it really does not matter-- my son played in a HS program that won no more tha 6 games a season on the East Coast and ended up at New Mexico State University of scholarship-- if you are showcasing and/or playing in a solid travel team program you should do fine provided yopu have the talent to begin with.
If a winning HS made a difference my son would not have a baseball scholarship for school next year. You need to get out there somehow, don't depend on HS. FYI, not one single college called the HS Coach during recruting time, the calls were made to his summer coach.
I think a powerhouse HS program might help you (contacts and all) but that the HS program should never hurt you. college coaches know better than to judge you, personally, based on the quality of the program where you happen to attend school.
