McCowat Sizzles in Dominion's Win Over Gar-Field with 20 Strikeouts on the Mound and Two Home Runs, 5 RBIs at the Plate

Dale City (Mar. 18, 2008) - It may be early in the season but there won't be many days like the one Dominion High School senior Geoff McCowat had Tuesday as he struck out 20 on a two-hitter and stroked two home runs and a double with five RBIs to lead the AA Titans to a 7-0 non-district win over AAA Gar-Field.

McCowat struck out 20 of the 25 hitters he faced, giving up two hits and two hit batters with no walks.

"Wow, he looked good," said Dominion coach Jay Raines. "I always said he had great stuff and his fastball has lots of natural movment."
