Anyone out there have any comments on Dr. Tom Hanson and his progam of "focused baseball"? Seems, like most, to have several "levels" of his program....ie, buy the book, conference call, or individual calls that are 1 on 1.

Anyone ever tried any of this? If so, was it helpful? Thanks for any opinions.

I have heard Tom Hansen lecture and thoroughly enjoyed it. I've read his book and feel that there are many important pieces that can help even young players. If older players including those playing in the bigs see sports psychologists, why should it not follow that younger players could also be having difficulty with the mental side of the game.

My personal source in this area is "Head Games" by Walter Herbison. My son and I have listened to his CD while driving to tournaments and it is terrific. My son did have a 1 on 1 with Herbison at the beginning of this season and he feels that it really helped him to focus and learn how to visualize success. Good stuff.
