From last night:

Daniel Lynch, LHP from Douglas Freeman and UVA, went # 34 overall to the Royals.  His slot value is $2.1 million.

Jake McCarthy, OF, not originally from around here but a UVA guy, went # 39 to the D-backs, slot value $1.8 million.

Griffin Roberts, RHP from James River HS and UVA (and our Virginia Cardinals program), went # 43 to the Cardinals, slot value $1.7 million.

Including the above, here's how things shook out in rounds 3-10 yesterday:

Andy Weber, 2B, a UVA guy though not from VA,  5th round, # 158 overall, slot $317.6k. Cubs

Josh Winder, RHP, James River HS/VMI, 7th round, # 214 overall, slot $198.7k. Twins

Zach Mort, RHP, Cosby HS/George Mason, 8th round, # 248 overall, slot $159.1k.  Zach played travel ball primarily with the RBA South Phillies, but also pitched a few games for our Cardinals program. Cubs

Derek Casey, RHP, Hanover HS/UVA, 9th round, # 278 overall, slot $145.1k.  Derek played for our Cardinals program for 2 years. Cubs

Bennett Sousa, RHP, UVA guy though not from VA, 10th round, # 288 overall, $142.3k. White Sox

Brett Langhorne, 3B, Lee-Davis HS/U.Tenn and then Carson-Newman, 10th round, # 292 overall, slot $141.4k. Braves

Day 3 of the draft will move much more quickly.

Also, there are no slot values associated with picks after the 10th round.

I'll update this as the day progresses:

Matt Pita, OF, Cosby HS/VMI, 12th rough, # 367 overall to the Yankees.  Matt played travel ball with the RBA South Phillies and the Va. Cardinals.

Cam Simmons, OF, not a VA native but a UVA player, 15th round, # 449 overall, to the Rangers.

Colin Selby, RHP, Western Branch/Randolph-Macon, 16th round/#474, Pirates.  A rare Division III draftee!

Layne Looney, RHP, TX native from U of R, 19th round/# 578, Cubs.

Vinny Capra, SS, FL native from U of R, 20th round/# 596, Blue Jays.

Nathan Eaton, Thomas Dale HS/VMI, 21st round/# 632, Royals.  In a move harkening back to Brandon Inge, Eaton was drafted as a catcher, a position I don't believe he's played in HS or college.

Nick Zona, SS from Hanover HS, 38th round/#1130, Mets.

Seth Mayberry, RHP from Dinwiddie HS, 39th round/#1161, Padres.

Adam Hackenberg, C from MIller School, 39th round/#1171, Royals.
