Yesterday, my son was given the s*****(surgery) word. His ulnar collateral ligament is torn (Tommy John surgery). There are so many emotions running rampant right now. For all you parents, enjoy the good times and dedicate yourself for the bad times. I hope my son has the dedication needed to get through the surgery and then to do the rehab necessary. I also pray that coaches work with him to get him through this process. Complete this year and hopefully his new school will accept him and work with him with the expectation of good things to come in the future. Just remember parents and players, things can change quickly.

Prayers from Southern Calif. Our "04" son had knee surgery in Oct. and I can't give the coaches more credit for there understanding and help. Son has worked hard, and while not at full strenght, the coaches have made adjustments, he is playing first instead of 3rd now, and they are not making him run, he rides a staionary bike. It is a bummer and lots of extra effort, but if the desire is there, it will work out. Best wishes
The unknown is: Son is a current jc player who signed last November with a small D-1 school. Just not knowing everything that is about to occur is a scary thought in some ways. Hope future coach is very understanding. The positive is the surgery seems to have a very successful recovery rate. Just time consuming. Hoping for the best.
