If the answer is YES then I have a question ..one out, bases loaded, dropped third strike, catcher picks up the ball and touches home plate. Force out? If so, which baserunner returns to the dugout?
part 2..one out, bases loaded, dropped third strike and catcher throws ball back to pitcher without touching home plate. What happens?
Batter is automatically out with bases loaded and less than two out-batter is always out with first base occupied and less than two outs. Batter can only try to reach first on missed third strike with first base occupied when there are two outs. Were you trying to trick us?
Everyone is in such good form today that I have one for you. Bases loaded, no outs, the batter hits a high pop up between third and home. The catcher and third baseman both pull up thinking the other is going to catch it, so nobody touches it. The wind, blowing from right field carries the ball and it hits in foul territory between third and home but backspin causes the ball to jump backwards and die right on the baseline between home and third. What's the call?
