Hey All (new and old),
I haven't been by in a while but for some reason I still have the website saved as a favorite. Thought I'd give you a little update on the boys now that they are both in the real world.
Michael finished up college and got his chemistry degree. He took that and his love of cooking and is a candy maker for a company that does special work for the movie industry. He's married and they are in the process of buying their first house in the Orlando area!
Alex graduated from Mercer this past spring magna *** laude with his degree in computer engineering specializing in systems analysis. He accepted a postion as a contract engineer for the Air Force at Warner Robins.
It's such a thrill to see them become the men that I knew would be. I can't even begin to thank all of the good people on this board that helped contribute to their success as our family made our way through the many levels that baseball and life has to offer. As I read through some of the recent threads about parents worried about their sons making the high school team, or packing them up and sending them off to college, it really makes me appreciate where I've been and the many things that I've had the honor of experiencing over the past 10 years. I can't think of anything that I would have changed. We sacrificed a great deal so that our boys could have opportunities that we never had. But by staying involved and always being there for them, I guess in reality, their opportunities were just as rewarding to us. For those of you that may be reading this and wondering about your own lives and asking yourselves "is it worth it?" The answer is yes........
God Bless
Chris
