it is a question that has been on my mind for quite some time.when i was in high school a hundred years ago athletes didn't use drugs.now i notice quite a few athletes in high school smoke pot or use drugs in some form or another.and the truth be known its more than a few.i have read some place about mandatory drug testing for extra-curricular activities.sports, band etc.i know that's seems extreme but what else can be done?i'm interested in the responce to this maybe some of you have some experience in this.

I would venture to say I am older than you and we had players in HS who used drugs/pills and steroids---most where football players.

I still that for me it all begins at home--an open relationship with your children and a solid base can go a long way.

As my Dad used to tell me "I can only hope that what we have talked about at home registers with you when you go out the door and I am not there."
