apparently it's possible to co-enroll in a 4 year college and a JuCo.  School we were at a couple of weeks ago for a prospect camp talked about this a lot.  Coach asks freshman players whom he wants to groom to play for him to co-enroll at one of several local JC's coached by former players of his.   Beneficial arrangement for both, I guess.   The JC gets to tout itself as a pipeline to a top DII team, the DII team gets to have a roster full of juniors and senior and it gets to have it's sophomore and frosh players playing at a tough JC's with tough schedules.  And it doesn't have to go out looking for those players cause they are already enrolled in the 4 year school.   Sort of like having a dedicated AAA franchise.

I know someone in this exact situation, didn't make the four year college team but was referred to the local JC team...now currently plays for the JC team and takes classes at both schools.  I'm thinking it's possible to somehow "dual commit" in CA because CA juco's don't offer athletic scholarships..?
