I saw saturdays games at UVA and scouts from Eastern Kentucky, u of Md, VCU, radford, UVA, 2 others but didn't talk to them or identify what shirts they were wearing, but saw them taking notes and talking to others. I thought the Va cardinals team and arsenal teams were very good.

Players that impressed me where arsenals 3b #22 maybe, arsenals lhp #13 he started the game vs cardinals was throwing 82-87, cardinals catcher #11, cardinals 2b #5 also got on the mound and looked good was throwing 84-89 and hit well, cardinals also had a lefty pitcher who threw with good velocity but was missing the umpires inconsistant zone, i heard his name was kirby and he was a sophomore throwing 82-87.
Redbird,

We've been to 2 of your tourneys and very much enjoyed both experiences. You guys run a great event. Thanks for including us! We expect to see you some more in the fall.

As to those of our guys mentioned above:

# 11 is Kurt Taylor of Powhatan -- he hit well all weekend and gunned a few guys down, was a wall behind the plate.

# 5 is Josh Gardiner of Eastern View -- first team AA All State and he shows why every time out. High energy, leadoff with pop, gold glover, fast, and not to shabby on the hill either.

Nate Kirby (LHP) had an off night but is currently ranked # 154 nationally in the 2012 class by Perfect Game.
