Earlham used to be part of div 3 North Coast Athletic conference. When their president was leading the conference he was the leader in pushing division 4. Division 4 would have further de-emphasized sports at the new D4 level.

Shortly after the failure of D4, Earlham left the NCAC for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. This was billed as an opportunity to lessen travel, and have more time on campus for their athletes.

The NCAC is divided into East and West divisions for Baseball. Earlham was consistently at the bottom of the West division. It looks like they have continued that in the HCAC, they regulary finish second to last.

I know they regularly send players to summer teams. They usually have one or two players on the Hamilton Joes.
