Earned or Not?

Both unearned. If the fly to center had been caught, then the grounder to SS would have ended the inning with no runs scoring.

There's one area that has been a question of mine too. On the fly ball to center, would you ever consider the runner could have advanced? If you give him the advancement, the he's an earned run.

Nope. Even if he'd made it to 2nd on the F-8, that's out # 2. WP to 3rd, then third out on 6-3, inning over, no runs.

I miss read the outs, my bad. Just for a discussion, remove the first out, that makes the first batter reach first on a walk, second batter has the fly error to center, WP, then 6-4 and run scores, earned or not?

At this point in the inning, I'd say you couldn't declare it earned or unearned yet (since there's only one out). If the next two batters strike out, then I'd say it's unearned. If the next two get hits, then it becomes earned.

In response to your question, I have trouble envisioning a scenario where you could assume that the runner on first would have advanced had F8 not committed the error.

Totally agree, Unearned. Now if there were no outs, with the lead off walk, and a fly to deep center, that was dropped, the runner might have advanced on a sac fly, this is all hypothetical, the runner would have to be tagging, the of would have to be going back etc.....
