East Bay Classic Tournament Finals:

The 1st thru 4th place in the final pools will play each other on Saturday.

• Foothill vs De La Salle - play for 1st or 2nd place
  
• Monte Vista vs San Ramon Valley - play for 3rd or 4th place
  
• Newark Memorial vs Granada - play for 5th or 6th place
  
• Clayton Valley vs Bishop O'Dowd - play for 7th or 8th place

(There was a 3-way tie of 2-1 records in the final pool with Foothill/MV/SRV. Placement in finals was determined by a tournament tie breaker rule of largest run differential. Newark(6-2W,6-3W, 5-2L) +4, Monte Vista(6-2L, 9-5W, 10-5W) +5, and Foothill(9-5L,5-2W,8-1W) +7.)

I can't believe nobody talked about the results of the day. I got inning by inning reports from a posh restaurant in Scottsdale after a hard day of spring training. Ross throws a shutout. Lyman throws seven innings of unearned runs. Bergesen and Massingham throw goose eggs for seven inning ans Schlatter finishes it for DLS in a 10-inning 1-0 epic. Great day for eastbay pitching.
