My picks to make the final and to advance to state would have to be Cox and Indian River..

Maury, playing in the generally weaker eastern district has not been challenged, and when challenged by tougher out of district opponents in the GCA tournament, they struggled

I've not heard or seen much about the Peninsula district to warrant the type of hype Menchville has recieved,

and the SED and Beach seem to have been the toughest districts, with the SED being more 'top heavy' and the Beach being more balanced throughout...

i wouldnt be surprised if the #2 beach team (Kellam/FC are likely picks) upsets Menchville in the first round
Well, we know as of yesterday, that Cox and Granby are in for sure...so that is two more teams.

As far as upsets.....I believe FC/Kellam (if one of these teams end up in the Regionals) could play with Menchville in a one game series....but they would have to spend up their #1 pitchers and they will need some offense against a talented Menchville pitching staff.....I believe Kellam's Jeff D and FC's Trevor H or Buddy L could hold their own...it will be a good game either way (if one of these teams are the #2 seed on the region).......
Sounds like we had some upsets?Kellam is out?Cox had to come from behind and First Colonial seems to be on a role?Umpire calls are getting started early, last year you may remember the Bethel V Western Branch game?Southeastern starts teusday night, looking for some good games?Heady coaching will be mandatory to get it done this year, stand on the baseline Managers and Coaches better smart'n-up while you can.
