All impact players in my eyes for the Eastern Discrict this year. And should keep an eye out for all these players.

Bishop Sullivan Catholic lost two players now in Eastern District--Jaylin Gardenhire at Granby and Chayce Magula. Both should help these squads batting and both are above average in the field.

Some of the biggest moves in the Eastern District has been in coaching. Coach Zebro is back at Granby helping Coach Butler and Norview has picked up Mark Young from BTW and the JV Coach from Maury. These coaching changes may ultimately impact the standings in the middle to upper half of the district.
The biggest difference with the Eastern District and the other districts is that most of the players do not break off from recreation ball. Whereas the talented players from the other districts have gone onto AAU for better coaching and better competition at an early age. During the summer of their early teen years most Eastern District kids are still playing on the All Star team and some sort of Select Sunday team.

Most of the players also do not seek out personal lessons to correct the flaw in their mechanics. And those flaws get exposed later on against better competition.

There are a few that separate and go on to AAU, but not enough to put a dominant team together consistently. Then they battle each other through the regular season without regularly competing against top notch talent. When they get to Regionals they usually get stomped because of this.

Of course, there are exceptions, recently with Maury and Churchland. But for the most part, even those two teams, as good as they were, were not playing in the Beach, Peninsula or Southeastern Districts where the they would have much stronger competition.

This is apparent even now through fall ball. The ED teams are playing their entire team with all of their starters, while most of the SE district teams have brought up their JV kids because many of the starters are playing showcase ball. And I'd be willing to bet that the mixed Varsity/JV teams of the SE district are still beating the ED teams.

I'm rambling, but my point is that even with the changes in the coaching at a couple of the schools, it's too late. Most of the players have never faced the competition that they see in the Regionals and many of them are still not mechanically sound. That's tough to fix in just a few months.
I think that the Eastern District has been a step behind for all of those reasons. I think the other is that baseball is not the priority sport that basketball and football is for those schools as well.

In SED and the Beach there are several places where baseball is traditionally a premier sport. I don't know if that is the case for any Eastern District school.
