Eastern District week 4 [april 2-april 7]

Lake Taylor beats Norfolk Academy saturday 6-3. FR Charles Pridgen gets 2 hits to highlight the Titans offense. Andre Costa pitches solid 5 innings and defense holds off 7th inning rally by Norfolk Academy. Right side of the infield still tough to watch defensively. Up next is Churchland.

Wilson will host Warwick on Thursday at 4:00.

The Churchland Maury game was rescheduled. If my information was received correctly Maury is going out of town for a Spring Break Tournament, therefore that game was rescheduled.

Granby Lake Taylor game was great. I think it went 1 to 1 for 7 or 8 innings. Great pitching on both sides. Titans defense was sloppy. They had 4 errors. Their team's talent seems uneven. Probably not unusual actually. Granby messed up when they put relief pitcher in that played baseball with opponents since they were 5 year olds. Known quantity. Coach should have known better. In the end though great game.

I think all Friday games were moved to Thursday due to holiday.

shoelessjoe2012, funny you say that since I saw Coach Zebro in a Granby uniform after being HC at Lake Taylor for 10+ years. Gutsy call by LT coach but it worked.

Titans I believe will have new defensive lineup today vs Churchland to shore up defensive issues they have had so far.

Lake Taylor beats Churchland 5-0. Justin Erby was great on the mound pitching a complete game for the Titans. Defense was much bettter (only 1 error) and hitting was contagious. Players are really coming into their own and they are all getting into a nice groove. Good job on the Coaching staff keeping the boys motivated.
