Its more a matter of how it feels to you, however I note its a 34 inch glove which maybe difficult for many catchers to control, not sure if theres a smaller verision. My son has big hands and he generally uses a 32.5 inch glove.

Well I bought the glove and have been breaking it in.
It doesn't seem as big as my son's previous Mizuno catchers mitt (which is about 12 yrs old).

I don't understand the "one hand" catcher comment but when there is a potential base stealer he has his throwing hand on the back part of the mitt to get a quick transfer.
