Hey all,

Things are coming together for my senior year, and I've really been looking into colleges to apply to. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical has come to my attention as a college with a good reputation and a top-notch NAIA baseball team. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with their program, i.e. camps, coaches, etc. and could offer me some help.

Thanks in advance!

Great school, great rep, costs a lot, coaches are tremendous, hard workers and players do the same, brand new state of the art field, locker rooms etc, located at major intersection close to everything, new high school being built next door, DBCC 1/4 mile away, Mall within walking distance, must want to work hard in classroom and on field if you attend, #1 pilot school in the country, PM me if you have any questions,
Also they have gone to post season play forever, world series last two or three years.
I went there in the late seventies (aeronautical engineering). Very good academic school. I wasn't a college athlete so no help there. Daytona beach can be a very strong distraction in the spring so the sudent's maturity and focus is a real consideration when choosing to go there. I left after 2 years to pursue a premed program through Creighton University. The basic science and math work that I did at ERU really served me well.

I also got a pretty good education in the Florida culture and wild-life. For reference on the kind of people you are likely to meet and what it is like living there check out any of Tim Dorsey's novels or go to his web-site at "What kind of lunatics live here anyway? LOL

WARNING!! You will have a blast there but don't let the academics get away from you!
