I'm the manager/trainer for my school's baseball team and also do newpspaper and yearbook coverage - so you can imagine how much time I spend with those boys. I'm starting to see them more than my own family Smile
I want to make some little goody bags for them for encouragement on gamedays, but I'm not sure what to put in them as far as non-edible stuff. I'm an avid baker, so I have the food portion under control. I've thought of baseball poems, but other than that, I've got nothing. Any ideas? Thanks Smile

FBMom,....

Hey,..if its fun ( in a kinda tackey-tuna way ), has a theme I can relate to, comes in our team colors ( the sparklier the better!),... and is cheap, I'm all over it! ,..with matching earrings and toe polish, ta' boot! HA!!

I am my own self proclaimed Dolly Parton Baseball Mom!! ha ha!! ( albeit,..perhaps a little short in the physical attributes section!! ) Big Grin

Mardi gras beads have come a loong way. You'de be amazed at all the varieties they have. It pays to shop it for the best bargains. The simplier the bead the cheaper.

They have been a big trend here in Kansas and in Hawaii. The key is the more the merrier! ha!
They are inexpensive and fun.

Our boys and parents wear them and then hang them in their offices, rooms, and around the cars rear view mirror. ( that last idea may be a safety violation, so just for the record, ya didn't hear it from moi. Wink )

We gave these to our moms of bb seniors last year for senior night. Painted their son's number on the baseball:

Thanks! This was loads of help! Actually, one of my good friends is our starting pitcher and was having trouble in the hitting department (he was 2 for 18 or so), so he really needed a confidence booster. This seemed to be just the thing... he went 3 for 4 last night with 10 strikeouts, allowing only one hit! We actually won 10-0, so I felt good about those goodie bags Smile
We play a tough team on Friday, perhaps I should double the load... Wink

Laura,..have you been officially welcomed on the HSBBW yet? Bet ya have,..but I'd like to second that welcome and add that I think you are a delight!

Team managers work their fannies off and dont always get the kudos I feel they deserve. I know our boys and the coaches really appreciate all that the managers do for these ( sometimes quite stinky and sweaty ) athletes! I thank you!!

Your team is lucky to have you!!
Hope you have a great season and keep us filled in with updates on how your boys are doing!! Congrats on your win!!
