It's exactly what they want...two enormously big market cities so the ratings will be up. Heaven forbid if the World Series teams were Kansas City and Milwaukee!

This was can't miss championship series heading to the World Series from a market standpoint .... two LA teams, New York and Philadelphia. I'm sure the MLB office had a sigh of relief when the Twins and Rockies went down.

From a marketing/TV followig point it would have been better to have a West Coast team and a East Coast team, they are about to loose a lot of West Coast interest.

It looks like it will LIKELY be an all East Coast World Series; but that will not stop them from staritng World Series games at 8:45 PM with no chance of these games ending before midnight.

Stupid MLB! I feel like acting like a child with the start times and I will continue to whine & pout about it!!

From what I heard during a recent Selig interview was that all postseason games would start at 8:07 EST... He stated that MLB was missing an entire generation by starting their games so late, and that prompted the change.

It was refreshing to hear that...

Well it's a start but still needs to start around 7:30 ET because still have kids up too late watching games. I know by starting it at 7:30 that people on the west coast migh miss the start but I would rather part of the country miss the start than a whole new group of fans miss the ending when it matters.

I agree 7:30 would be better, but even then the games will not end until after 10pm; late for kids. The West Coast early games (late afternoon)in the playoffs so far have had good ratings on West Coast. And why is the World Series being played in November now? I am hoping for abolutely horrible weather and a Game 7 delayed until Thanksgiving,

Yes I am a bitter Red Sox fan (this year), but I really do think the games should start earlier and the the WS should be wrapped up by now.

It won't happen. That's 4:30 on the west coast. By the time people get home from work at six, the game would be half over. Sponsors wouldn't like that.
