Was really looking forward to watching this. I'm not sure it really cleared up anything as to why he was out of baseball. A lot of loose ends weren't really tied up.
After watching this I think he was just hanging out, working here and there, and probably still partying. There seemed to be some idea that he was looking for some Zenlike sprituality to guide his existence. That was the theme but it was mirky at best.
At the end of the day, I've never been interested in the viewpoints, political opinions, or lives of athletes, musicians or actors. However, his story was so unique, I was drawn in. Now, not so much.
He can hit it, I'll watch him hit.
