I don't have a son playing there butI have 2 of my pitchers playing at St Rose, both are freshman.

My son played for the Newburgh Nuclears. I beleive the Nukes junior team played against your team. I also know a good kid from the area (John Shuller) that is at St. Rose. My son plays at Southern Conn. so maybe he will be pitching against one of your players. Good Luck this year

Take care of that heart. No ranting or additional pacing this year.
We have the dad of s SNHU pitcher who posts here a little. We have chatted on the phone a couple times. I got to see him pitch this fall a couple of times and is a nice pitcher. He has not posted lately, though.

A kid from my son's legion team is a freshman at SNHU this year (Brandon Thomas) I coached him with the junior and senior legion teams.. He's a little cocky LOL but hopefully college ball will set him back on his heels a little.
As far as the ranting ..I already was complaining about the DII polls LOL. Franklin got the Regionals and we beat them on their shoebox field. Now they out polled us ! GEEEEEZ... How does St. A's look this year and how is your son doing??

we always had good games with the Nukes. That was the highlight of our season plus the kids got to play at Delano. My former players (O'Leary and Partridge are both RHP). Any idea what the Kavanaugh kid is doing? He was a nice pitcher for the Nukes.

The Kavanaugh kid was on the junior team so I did'nt get to see him much. He is from Rockland county so I did'nt see him in High School games either. I do hear the kids a stud though.

You gotta learn not to sweat the small stuff!
Worrying or complaining about these kinds of things will hurt your heart
Wait and see what happens and don't become one of those who "needs" the press. I think the Histories of the two programs has some bearing on those polls, but SC can alter the perception with another strong year.
We can't replace our center fielder or Fecteau. If our corners become healthy and can lead our offense
we should be okay.
My son plays for FRANKLIN PIERCE COLLEGE (Northeast-10) A Freshmen Pitcher. If you follow FPC and know the team you will understand why they are ranked.Talent on this team is tremendous. All seniors will return. We lost two players to the draft. GO RAVENS

By "SHOEBOX" I meant shorter fences and not much foul territory down the lines. It might be the smallest field in the NE-10. As far as FP being ranked, I did'nt disagree w/ that... I just don't feel they should have been ranked higher then Southern Conn. Southern is returning every starting pitcher to a staff that led the nation in ERA and went 4-0 against FPC last year. FPC also lost their pitching coach to UCONN for this year I beleive. Anyway... Good Luck to your son this year at FP... They do have a good team and coach King does do a good job of recruiting fine young players.

My post was'nt a matter of "needs the press" it was a matter of fairness. I think maybe the poll is a good thing though now.. It has already fired up the SC team to beat FP and return to the regionals and ths series

Exactly!
I agree with the head to head competition element. And I also understand feeling slighted.
My point was...you have no control on a poll and it has no bearing on who is still playing at the end. Your son and his team do have complete control over how they go about their business this spring and they can take the high road and show everyone with their play.
