I was wondering about interesting new ways that minor leaguers can make an income during the off-season. Any ideas?

What about hitting lessons..something like that. Maybe bar tending?
They find ways. Mine has worked in city government the past two years...contracts, policy, budgets, etc... And then heading off to a trainer in the late afternoons.
He's coached his younger brother's HS fall-ball team...for free. But he hasn't given lessons because he feels he might be taking customers away from the local guy who worked with him and helped him so much.
But I'm curious...do you really want to know or are you trying to attract people to your website with the link in your posts. If thats your goal, you really oughta pay for an advertisement on this site or make a donation. It will go over a lot better.

No I honestly would like to know. Iam making plans on developing a website for professional baseball players to find extra income during the off-season. I have been brainstorming and was just looking for more ideas.
I have one where players can subit their information online so that local players and parent may be able to contact them. Basically a modest networking site.
By all means promoting my website is not my sole intention. If it seems like it than I apoligize.
I hopefully will be able to advertise in other ways from this site, but the contacts have been difficult to get a hold of.

First, I'd like to say for the record that I played minor league ball for 3 years with the Braves from '04-'06. I KNOW first hand how money can be tight!
I turned a few guys that I coached, who are now playing pro ball, onto AdvoCare. You become an independent distributor and sell their line of supplements. Check it out here:

For the most part, they all give lessons too. I'm not saying it can be the only source of income, but it's definitely a good source of extra income!
