Fair - Foul Quiz

This was a good quiz and some of them were pretty tough. Some of them had to have some massive english on the ball to make it do a couple of things that it did.

I think I might be on the wrong side of the baselines. I got all 40 correct. Kinda scares me.

I missed one- #30.

30. The batted ball immediately strikes home plate, bounces up, is touched by the catcher
standing at point 13 and settles at point 1.

The catcher is in foul territory, but at no point did the ball go into foul territory. Can someone explain to me how this would be a foul ball?

I had a little trouble with that one myself Emanski. I just thought about it like this - if the catcher is standing at 13 which is foul and the ball hits him then the ball had to have came into foul territory although it never said it did. To me that's the only way it could have happened.

Emanski... You are right; you can't answer #30, all that matters is where the ball is when it gets touched... it is poorly worded.

Going back through it, I think it was the right answer, but as mentioned, poorly worded. I guess according to the rules of the quiz, you're supposed to see that the ball traveled to the catcher at point 13. My thinking was that ball bounced straight up off the plate, and the catcher reached out from point 13 and touched it. In the first situation, it's foul (as in the quiz) but the second situation would be a fair ball (which is where my answer came from). Now it's a little clearer.
