Fall League

what area of "Chicagoland" are you looking to play in?

Maybe the near Western or Southwest suburbs. I know about the league at Ho Chunk I was hoping to find something which isn't that far. Thanks

I know the White Sox Academy in Lisle has one.
Fox Valley Sports Academy has one, and Playball USA in Desplaines also has fall leagues.

Ho Chunk? The last time my boys played at that complex it was called The Hawk. I'm glad they changed the name to something more appropriate...

Ho Chunk of Parking Lot!

Those fields were rock hard and lousy...the gravel parking lot adjacent to the fields would have been more suitable to play ball on!

Try to "Play ball!"

If you're bringing a whole team, you might be able to squeeze in to Wasco (St. Charles). They're finishing up the schedule this week so it might be tough.

Thanks for the suggestions. I just heard of one league being played at Standard Federal Field not sure if anyone has info on it. We haven't played at Ho Chunk in about a year but they've done a pretty nice job fixing it up the fields are in decent shape and they actually added seats/benches. The seats actually have backs on them and I was told (not sure if it's true) but are seats which were taken out at US Cellular a few years back.

My memoriy recalls some absolutely fine folks in that Wasco organization. They're worth contacting as papi notes.

Back in the day you had to bring one of these brimful to get into the park!



Of course, when empty, it came in handy for getting rid of all of that spent beer!

St. Charles might be a little too far for some of the boys to travel but I will check it out. Thanks for your help.

BTW, I gotta tell you the best thing about that place is the little bar which helps big time between games and rain delays and almost makes it worth the trip down there alone.
