If a HS based Fall team is looking to be a tournament only team for this Fall season (18U/Varsity level), where would you send them?
Recently, I received a call from our Booster Club and they are looking into offering either League or Tournament Play for their Fall Varsity level team. Because the teams, in the past, have participated in League play only they are asking me for a listing of tournaments they could enter a HS Fall team into (in addition to the Rusty Draper tourney we always host.
But, what I know to be true might/might not be true so I don't want to pass on wrong info. and I want your input......This is what I know to be true: that most 18U Select Teams focus on putting together their own Fall Showcases, at college venues and it is a Team invite only situation that has more than likely already been established/firmed up by now for this coming Fall.
If the above is true and the schedules are still open then what is the likelyhood that they would want to included a HS team in this type of event and who would you contact for this (you can send PM's on this if you like).
If there are tourney's out there that are a good option for this team please send me a PM with contact info./tourney dates/locations or post them here.
Any info./advice/links you have would be helpful. I need to get this to our Booster Club as soon as possible.......
