Farragut defeated Munford today by the score of 7-1. The Admirals played well and beat a good Munford team. Cody Overbeck threw well and kept Farragut's bats off balance for much of the game. As they have found a way to do the last couple of years, the Admirals managed to get to him in the later innings. They scored the first 4 batters in the 6th to put it out of reach. Scott Dean started the inning off with a single followed by Phillip Sherrard with a double down the left field line. Riley Jennings then had a 2 rbi single up the middle. Drew Reagan then drove a ball off the center field wall for an rbi triple. Drew was driven home on a sac fly by Harrison Eldridge. The bottom half of the order was fantastic today. Numbers 5-9 had 8 of the teams 9 hits and drove in 6 of the 7 runs. Outstanding!

Kyle Waldrop pitched a complete game. He had allowed only one baserunner, a single in the 4th, entering the 7th. After retiring the first 2 batters on ground balls to second, Munford got 3 singles to score their one run. Waldrop struck out the last batter looking for his 10th K with no walks.

Farragut plays Hunters Lane, a winner over Columbia in extra innings, tomorrow.

Halls had an easy time with McGavock in their game. They will face Collierville tomorrow in their pool. Larson threw today, I would assume Lockwood will get the start tomorrow.
