I had a blast. We have over 40 guys coming out and a scrimmage next Tuesday and Friday. Lets see tryouts in the gym this week. More snow Tues night and rain on Saturday. Can't practice on Sunday so I guess will do it all on Monday!

Thanks alot. We lost a couple of studs especially Harrison to graduation. I really like the make up of this years team though. Hard workers and very coachable. We sure as heck won't be the most talented team we have had but we could be pretty good.
the snow was all well and good, but he really needs to go. I think with the snow and ice all you need to steal second is your leadoff, your pivot step and then just fall, looks like even a catcher can steal. But thankfully with the sun today we were finally able to try out, but not on our field on a practice field usually used by middle school s****r and lacrosse. Thankfully we can start real practice tomorrow, seeing as how we have a scrimmage against Lee County on sat. and then Methodist College on monday.

Hey TigerBaseball2004, Man we are feeling the same as you over here in Roxboro!! Finally were able to have a "tryout" yesterday! Are you guys going to be the "cream" of the pac six this year? I think Person is going to be in a "building phase" this year but will be strong down the road. Hope you guys have a great season and we will see you soon in the Pac six race!! Let the sun shine!!! the cream? I dont know if you really can say anyone will be the cream of the pac-6 (now that orange has dropped to 3A). But we only lost four guys from last years team, and only one guy who will probably start in their places does not already have starting varsity experince. We have been able to avoid significant rebuilding years because Coach Miller always takes one or two freshmen as a way to plant seeds for future seasons. Good luck to you guys this season, hopefully the snow will have melted by the time we get together.
