Oldscout,
NAIA,
They have a jv so 80+ players. Small Church of Christ school. Coach seems to be a good guy.
School is starting football in attempt to get more students. One of the lower priced private schools around. Also have a law school on campus.
Do you have a specific question? My wife and sister graduated from Faulkner, my wife when it was a 2 year school and my sister after it became 4 year. They were there at the same time, wife was in last 2 year class.
Beautiful, well kept campus in Montgomery. Not in downtown, but campus is located convienently close to about anything a student might need. Faulkner has recently built apartment complexes for upperclassmen. The men's dorms which house the underclassmen were origionally built for occupancy of 3 per room. They now only house two per room, so the dorm rooms are fairly large for two students. The dorm rooms have private baths.

Because it is a church school, rules are fairly strict (as a parent, I really liked that!). Religion is not forced down your throat, but the school seems to have a good christian influence.

Baseball is played in a very competitive conference and region. Two recent conference foes have moved to NCAA Div II. The Faulkner baseball program regularly produces some All-American players and a couple of recent graduates have been drafted. The previous head baseball coach took the team to the NCCAA world series a couple of times and won it in 2001. If I am not mistaken, the current head coach was a pitcher on that team. They were down a little bit this past year, but still managed to win 34 games. I'm not sure if they still hold the distinction, but for the past 4-5 years the Faulkner baseball team had the winningest program of 4 year schools in Alabama (percentage of wins, and number of wins).

BTW, they also have a very exciting basketball program.
