Fauquier County is starting a baseball program in it's middle schools. 5 new paid middle school baseball coaches positions are now advertised at www.fauquiercounty.gov . Some Counties nearby allow 8th graders to play JV baseball, but Fauquier has decided to create baseball in the middle schools, which I think is great ! All of the Fauquier middle schools have baseball fields available and most are lighted fields too.

It should be noted the schools that do allow 8th graders to play JV sports don't have middle school teams for that sport. By VHSL rule, if a school division has middle school teams 8th graders cannot participate in JV level sports.
In the past year or so KG now has 8th grade teams in baseball, softball and football.
Good to hear Fauquier is adding MS teams to the mix. From what I've hard KG struggles to find other MS teams to play.
Fauquier has 5 middle schools so even if they played each other twice and did some sort of play off at the end it would equate to 10-12 games and then pick up a few out of County games it would make for season.
Fredericksburg, Locust Grove, and some other local districts have middle school ball. They would probably end up playing those districts.
