FBM is probably to shy to post this, but...

AJ got his chance to shine and did so. Pitched in the 5th inning. Faced 5 batters. Walk, flair double, pop-up and 2 K's!! NO runs!! Not bad for someone who wasn't even invited to the big league camp!

WHOOOOO HOOOOOO!!

Thanks all. It was indeed a thrill to know he was going in, and altho we couldn't listen online, we were able to talk to his wife and another friend in Tucson to get the pitch by pitch.

When I spoke with him today, he said he was nervous but not as nervous as he thought he would be. So the first 2 pitches ... not where they were supposed to be and he is now behind the batter 2-0 and ends up walking him. But the end result was great ... and he was almost as thrilled as his family and friends in So Cal who were smiling from ear to ear.

Life is great, isn't it? (Well, most of the time.)

P S Son just called to tell me that their bench coach (the 'big club') is my favorite player in the world ... Kirk Gibson. He will try to get old FB.M an autographed baseball while in Tucson. Big Grin
