On January 9th, 2010 the Florida Diamond Pros Summer tryouts are now a “FREE College Identification Camp”, the camp will allow the players to be seen by college coaches and will serve as a tryout for the FDP Organization. The program has developed a tryout structure that will not only display your talents as an athlete but it will allow you to display your talents in a controlled environment and in “real game “situation.
All the players will be coached and evaluated during the camp -- player evaluations will be finalized by Atlanta Braves Scout with input from all the camp coaches and the evaluations will be available upon request.
The detailed evaluations will be part of the welcome package for all the players that are chosen for the FDP Summer Program.
We will also have a National Collegiate Scouting Association Educational Speaker – Rich Hofman who will address the parents and players on the recruiting aspect of high school baseball; he will educate everyone on the correct way and incorrect way on obtaining a collegiate scholarship and how to contact the universities. Coach Hofman (10 State Championships) has extensive experience in the collegiate and professional levels with ex-players like Alex Rodriguez – Yankees and Doug Mientkiewicz – FSU. His educational speeches are heard throughout the country and his knowledge will be a great benefit to everyone attending the tryouts.
