There are 22 rule change/modification proposals to the FED rules for 2013. One that will generate a lot debate is the requirement that adult in the coaches' boxes wear helmets.

I could easily argue both side of this. But I think. absent emotion, it will come down to this: Is FED, who, as an organization has been the most safety conscious of any, prepared to be the only baseball organization to have the opportunity to pass this rule, and not do so? Attorneys state that their liability will increase should there ever be an injury that a helmet could have prevented if they fail to take the same action MLB and NCAA have taken.

Another reason I believe it will pass: Elliot Hopkins is reportedly in favor.
