I haven’t been around as much lately, but I do occasionally read topics that look interesting. If you want a good read, google Chris Reid from LSU. There was a story a few weeks back that chronicled Reid’s time at LSU. He was my son’s roommate freshman year. The kid is a GREAT teammate. I am SO happy for him and his family for the success he is having this season, his final one at LSU. Any of you parents that want a lesson in humility and perseverance should read Chris’ story. Way too long to go into detail in a post. Short version. He went from a starter freshman season to very little playing time the next two years then getting cut after his junior season, only to be asked back and is now starting third baseman batting in the middle of the lineup. I just saw where he received player of week honors is SEC for his performance against #2 Mississippi State. Again, great kid and great family. So happy for them!
