The first thing I would do is have someone who is non bias do your times. Going to a showcase/camps, will get you noticed and a full non bias report on your times and constructive improvement.

Always ask for there evaluation sheet, always ask for constructive criticism. Ask what is expected to be good for there division level.

That is what I did, got some great feed back from the University of Virginia camp which was a fall improvement camp that also had players there that could not make there show case camp weekend. Had us in different T shirts to be able to tell which was which. There was a couple HS players there that were rated in the top ten in the nation when it came to pitching and short stop. Its fun to put yourself up against the top so called top players just to see what your missing and have some of the top coach's in the country evaluate you.

They are always ready to see new players.

After that play as much baseball while working own what needs to be improved, find a hitting coach, than a position coach.

If you are that serious about the game you need your own personal game plan right now. You can always catch up if they like you and your skills and if you are someone who is coach able and has a good attitude with the will to make it through college first and baseball second.

It would be easy to play somewhere if you want it or be a red shirted somewhere along the line.

I have heard mixed reports about sending DVD's. Marketing doesn't hurt but follow it up with a phone call and a visit to the campus and in person meeting with the Coach and or the Colleges baseball coordinator will help you with any aid? Unless you are very good or very rich. There is always scholar ship money out there for the school and he will give you avenues on whats what in the program. Pray a lot also.

Be professional about it this is your life and your goals you are talking about. You may want to talk to your coach and your school counselor and school athletic director about what your goal is, they can help you. Remember your coach has only a limited amount of time, ask for a letter of recommendation.

Be sure to talk your mom and dad about your goals and needs, what they can do and not do to help you out. If you want it bad enough you will find away to get what you want.

Drill did a good job explaining it all. As far as contacting colleges, just go to the the teams sites that you are interested in, fill out the questionaires, and e-mail the coach and give him your stats, times and academic stats. Just let him know your interested and if he wants you could send him a video or possibly visit and work out for him if it's not a DIII or DI. Good luck
