Where is the award based from?
Delayed dead ball, but, would it be different, if say, F4 vs F8 were to do it?

does not matter if F4 or F8...no difference.....3 base award for all runners from bases TOP.

No insult...just etiquette....when you ask a question you should be able to consider the answers appropriately. If you feel the need to discard them, you have sound reasoning.
I wasn't insulted at all. "the closer" just asked for a rule cite. 3FG did so before I saw the question so there was no need for me to elaborate.
This is probably why I don't post as often as I used to. There are more very knowledegable umpires answering questions than there used to be on this site. Certainly several who know more than I do. If I see that a question has been answered or a rule has been cited there isn't much need to answer again.

I'll second PIAA on that pilsner. The addition of Dash, Jimmy, you and 3finger have helped PIAA and me with this site. I know there others that should be on the list that escaping right now.

Under Fed rules (8-3-3-c-1) a pitched ball that is touched with detached equipment results in a two base award from the time of the infraction.
