Finally.. Baseball in Washington

You would have thought it was Christmas... I bounced out of bed, showered and rushed out of the house..Why.. Baseball IN Washington finally started today!!

Arrived at RFK Stadium with plenty of time to look around.. The stadium looks GREAT, will work great as a temporary home.. Ahh the sounds, the smells, the noises, the music, the crowds.. In a stadium awashed with Nationals red and blue we saw the first pitch thrown by a Nationals pitcher, saw the first hit, first homerun (and it was a shot

.. Not opening day but opening game and it will always be remembered as one of my favorite baseball memories.

I know the Expos fans are disappointed but you can be sure that your team will be well taken care of here in DC..

What a great day for Baseball.

JustMom - Thanks VERY much for the update and the pictures. I'm looking forward to the chance to see the Nationals play this year when I can swing a trip out east. You think tickets will be hard to come by
