hi, i'm new to this group, but i'm excited about the positive tone and wealth of information i find here. my son is 12, and plays on the rec team, tho this will be his last eligible year. he has played on the all star team for 3 years, and will likely do so again this year. unfortunately, the middle school team is not an option as the coach in our town is notoriously verbally and emotionally abusive to the kids. we may try to play for another town, but we'll have to look into the coaching expertise there beforehand. however, since we home educate our son, we have the flexibility to go ANYWHERE for a length of time for a season next year and/or camps. i would greatly appreciate any feedback on teams with good coaching that may not have residency requirements, and good quality camps that help a kid continue to progress in his baseball skills. thanks to all...

I recommend you make a post asking your questions on the Northeast board. Also if you scroll through some of the longer threads in the general section, you will find some posters from NH. PM them with your questions.

Advice: I'm sure you're a very proud mom on your son's baseball accomplishments to this point in time. You should be. And sometimes they need to be posted for others on a board to understand the scope of what you're looking for. But at home, once he hits the full size middle school field, the coach will not care what he did in LL or any other smaller field or how long he's played. It will be all about what can he do today.
