When we set up 2013's NCAA account last night we realized that his ACT scores from February that were sent to them are probably floating around somewhere (or worse) because they didn't know who he was at that time. So, this morning I called the NCAA eligibility center. Naturally, I was expecting voice mail he11 for 30 minutes to be followed by a cranky human being telling me that his scores would have been ignored and deleted because they didn't know who he was.

Imagine my delightful surprise when the automated system told me right where to go, apologized for my wait, and the pleasant human less than 3 minutes later told me the scores had been automatically entered into his profile earlier today because they hold them knowing that the student-athlete obviously plans to register.

WOW!

2013 Parent, I'm glad you had good luck. My experience to date has been a little different.

My son and I started the process of registering him during his sophomore year. We were doing well until the site locked up entering club ball participation . I tried about 5 times to go back in and edit but it would simply lock up every time. I got lazy and didn't worry about it. His scores showed up, but the club ball thing was locked up. If I went in to fix, it just hung.

During this process I had much difficulty even logging in as the bookmark for their login page never seemed to work. I would get to the site OK, but after entering username and PW it would hang. No message, nothing but restart the browser (Internet Explorer). I had to Google it every time to get in. Took a few times before I learned to stop using the bookmark.

As push came to shove and the official visit was nearing senior year, I had my son call them to fix it. He also got a pleasant individual who said, "Looks good to me, must be your machine, try a different computer." We'd done that 5 times already, but he tried and it failed.

The HS called them to clear it up and got the same response. Son called again and was blown off. I called and was blown off. Finally, as official visit was bearing down, we threw up our hands and asked the coaching staff of the D-1 major he was visiting to help. They called and apparently had better luck. We were within two days of having to cancel an official visit as son wasn't properly registered before they convinced somebody to at least try making an edit. It locked up on them as well and then they fixed it.

Personally, I think they suck.

I sincerely hope your luck continues to hold...
