My youngest son will be a freshman in high school this fall. He is the starting varsity catcher and played in his first game(colt league)last weekend. The first game was a little shaky(he told me he was very nervous). However, the next day was much better. In the second game he went 2 for 2, scored a run, and had the game-tying RBI. He threw out a runner going to third, too. There were mistakes but he is learning. The seniors on the team are very supportive and the coach is working with him as situations come up.
I am happy to have another one playing high school baseball. Our oldest graduated 2 years ago and we sure missed it. Youngest son was playing jr. high baseball and little league, but it wasn't the same.
Thanks for letting me brag on the youngest. clap
