First week has started her in Texas. Instead of being at the fields with 65 degree weather, I'm starring out the window looking at 2'' of snow.

I know the people from the North,Mid West are really feeling sorry for us Southern/ SouthWest States during High School baseball season...

Looks like next week will be a little better with temps in the high 50's.

Here in NorCal I just took a long walk with the wife and dogs.  Beautiful day.  Looking forward to first official HS game tomorrow.  Not sure why my wife wants to retire and move to the northeast in a few years.  Maybe it's cause she knows I don't want to go back there?

Come on, Golfman. He put it in the TX forum so we could whine together

We need a DISLIKE button. I would say something about the earth shaking but that's become a regular occurrence here

in North Texas lately!

Just learned that the game tomorrow has been cancelled due to weather. 20's/30's and wet stuff in East Texas.  The game was to be out of town but at night so I was going to get to see him start on the mound. Now he will pitch one of the daytime games and I will have to rely on my wife for updates. I know that she always appreciates me bugging her for pitch-by-pitch play-by-play.

I'd much rather endure sub-arctic conditions than rely on wife's play-by-play.

Our games are still on here in DFW for tomorrow ( TURF FIELD) unless they cancel school.Cant remember the last time my son didn't want it sleet/snow so he could go to go school.

WOW! How did you get 9 games in?!? We've only gotten in 5 (JV and Frosh even less). Every tournament we were scheduled for was rained out! Going to be a rusty start to District play next week.
