Hoping someone can help. Looking for any recent information on the Florida Pokers travel baseball team. Saw only older information when I searched. Feel free to PM me or post. Any help would be much appreciated. They look like they have large rosters and its pretty expensive, but I'm not really familiar with national programs and their costs, so don't know if that's the norm. Again, any info is appreciated.

They have a long list of commits on their site. Very few of which are on the actual rosters of the teams they take down to Georgia. Interpret that how you will.
As for the national teams:
I don't know how old your son is, but as you get older and the baseball gets better, it should get cheaper not more expensive. Oftentimes the only thing these national teams charge for are uniforms. If they're sponsored, maybe not even that.
When it comes to picking one I would look at their commitments. Then head to PG. Check WWBA results and see if the roster matches up. If they're .500+, have players headed to similar schools to what your son is interested, and affordable it should be a good fit.
Does anyone know the source of the “Pokers” name? My son’s team has played them at PG events, and I thought the team’s name was ... unusual.
I know we get a text from them every 2-3 weeks even though we tell them in the text just previous that he has already committed to another team. I think one of my son's teammates hears from them frequently too.
Thanks for the info everyone
They have established teams which are not that good and then they go after elite, better players to form pay teams. The pay teams have had success but the roster changes every week according to what you want to pay for. I know some have a problem with that but it meets a need. You tell them what you want and they tell you what it will cost. But once in their system, as said, you will get texts and phone calls to beg you to come play.

Same for us the last two years. Seems to be robo text. Dropped off lately it seems.
Mine was phone calls and texts. Don't take this wrong. They provide what they say they provide for a fee. They ask you what you want and then they will tell you what they will provide and the fee. That may mean you are on a lower team and playing both but you seem to get what you want if you can produce. Definitely Pay to Play model and it provides kids not on teams that are going to big tournaments the opportunity to go and play. PG does the same thing with their teams in the big tournaments.
It apparently also gets you on a Happy Thanksgiving text with 500 people that you can’t leave. I have left 4-5 times now and it’s still popping up. If any if you are on it, Happy Thanksgiving...I’m not responding
Ryan Combs runs the Pokers organization from what i know. They have had teams from 9u up to a College Level Summer team (Southwest Florida Colliegate League) during the years my 2019 has played. To my knoledge they are more of a regional team (playing mostly in Florida and some in Georgia). If you are looking for playing time, they may be a good option for your player.
