WOW.. to bad if true... good coach with bad Parents

Cowboy3 you sources are wrong. I am a parent at FMHS and just left a meeting where the coach explained why he resigned. He is a good man and coach and does not deserve these untruths. As far as the alter boy comments, this is someone's child you are degrading. If your sources regarding A&M are as reliable as your sources regarding Flower Mound then you need better sources. Why is it necessary to hide behind a code name. I have wonderful friends at Coppell and your untruths are disrespectful.

I just spoke to Coach Amrine and he resigned because he already had another position in another district.

I wonder why he would do such a thing? As a baseball coach, that seems like a job you would want to keep-loaded every year, it seems.

Randy...sometimes the winning on the field isn't worth all the garbage off the field.

I understand all too well, unfortunately, and agree completely. My sarcasm didn't show up very well, I'm afraid.

I don't have a dog in this fight because my son does not go to FM. However, I think it is entirely wrong on the part of cowboy3 to start rumors or make negative comments about a kid on this forumn. You should be ashamed of yourself. I hope that you are not an adult because that would really be bad. If you are a kid, I can forgive you with hopes that as you get older you will understand how to handle your business.

As ALL coaches know, it is easier to say you got a new job than I got fired. And Ed, wasn't your kid one who got suspended too? I want to make sure my sources are accurate and not disrespectful. So was he?

Golden Rule....I am an adult and if you would have witnessed the unsportsmanship by altar boy towards my son and our team in the playoffs one would say what goes around comes around!

Understand he resigned for family reasons and took the job at Brock which is where he is from. Good luck to him and his family.

Brock coach is not leaving. Assistant coaching spot is available.

This is a quality of life decision for Coach Amrine. I know him, I talk to him on a regular basis. I made the same decision 2 years ago. People got on here and made assumption then, just like they are now. People have "sources"...no, people have opinions...and you know what they say about opinions...

I wish him the best of luck. I also wish the FM baseball program the best of luck.

Brock is great job, even as an assistant. Very supportive parents and great talent. I agree FD, I would say this would be a quality of life upgrade for many coaches.

This forum should be for positive feed back and reporting accurate news. Sounds like many on this discussion have their facts right and are wishing that a coach, caught up in a web spun by irrational parents, goes on with his life in a positive happy manner. Cowboy3, my son has also experienced being treated inappropriately. In fact racial comments were made at him by the opposing team. However, I don't get on the board to bash the team or the specific kids that made the comment. I don't fight his battles nor do I go on a public board to discredit kids. They are kids and they make mistakes. Adults also make mistakes. Let it go if not for yourself but for your kid. Sometimes it is good to forgive just so you can move on and not let the person control you by making you become angry which is unhealthy. That kid probably is not spending any of his time thinking about you or your kid. You should do the same.

Very well said golden rule. We should all follow your advice.

THE FACTS ON THE FLOWER MOUND BASEBALL COACH ARE AS FOLLOWS
1. HE RESIGNED TO BECOME AN ASSITANT BASEBALL AND FOOTBALL COACH. BROCK IS STARTING FOOTBALL AT THE HIGH SCHOOL THIS NEXT YEAR AND IF YOU LOOK AT THE TRACK RECORD THEY HAVE IN OTHER SPORTS WHO WOULD'NT WANT TO GET IN ON THE GROUND FLOOR OF THAT PROGRAM. HE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR BROCK TO GET FOOTBALL IF THEY HAD NOT HE WOULD STILL BE AT FLOWER MOUND HIGH SCHOOL.
2. NO CHILD AT FLOWER MOUND GOT HIM FIRED OR IN ANY TROUBLE.
3. HE IS DOING THIS FOR HIS FAMILY HE GREW UP IN A SMALL TOWNAS DID HIS PARENTS AND HE AND HIS WIFE WANT THAT FOR THIER 2 SONS ALSO.

UNLIKE SOME ON HERE HIS FAMILY COMES FIRST.

jimjones717 or should I say Coach's wife or mommy....can't you accept your husband or son failed as FMHS coach? What our sources tell us your coach did not have enough experience to be successful at a 5A powerhouse like FM. Any coach could have a successful record at Coppell, FM, Marcus due to the athletes that live in the districts.

Interested to see if Brock is aware that he was kicked out of your football program too for verbally abusing kids!

COWBOYS3 needs to be banned from the site. I'm not a lawyer, but you are treading on thin ice in my opinion. I also don't have a kid at either school and glad I don't if this is how people act. Wow!
