FM vs SLC

How sure are you about a sweep Train??
I would have put a lot of money that your boy CG would have dominated FMH, but we saw how that went. I will agree with SLC taking the series, but not a sweep.

There are not many teams that are going to get by Mansfield. When you have a first round draft pick, and a lefty that can compete at an extremly high level. Asuring a "W" almost every time he steps on the mound.

For the record CG is not Train's son. Now that we have that cleared up, Train what do you have against FM? You've had a bad itch for that team all year. Let the kids play the game and go watch a good series.

Thank you Panther Dad for being up on the "lingo." I def. didn't mean that he was your son. I'm wondering the same thing that SWAC is wondering....what do you have against FM train?? I know they beat you guys, but geez, give 'em some credit!

SLC is much improved since the first part of the season. They have done a great job considering they had no returning startes from last years team. FM has regrouped from a team loaded with players selected in the draft and D-I signess. Although they were eliminated from their first round last year (like some others near FM this year and with studs in their line-up), they have pretty good team. The reason Choo Choo hates, despises, dislikes FM is because???? He has never really explained to the group of posters as to the root or his deep down reason. The best he could offer was that, (and I am going to paraphrase) " coach does not understand the HS game, that anyone that had as much talent last year as the FM team had should have won state, that blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!

He obviously has idle time to plan his summer and just finished his crow!

SWAC & Gunslinger....if you knew the talent they had last year (I think everyone knew) and saw the choke job by this coach you would have agreed with me. Read all my prior posts as your question is yesterdays news. Just think if the ROCK would have had FM's studs last year would SWAMI have won it all?

Gun they beat us and yes I can and will give them credit but IMO they are not that good ....maybe very lucky. Some kids on the bench should be on the field (do not read into that as that is what my FM friends tell me).

UPNIN....take your KILT off baby. I wish you understood the game. I never at least I do not believe I have said I hated the FM team. The team is entertaining but the coach is a joke.

Answer the question...which one of FM's is yours? Maybe your coach S.

Let's see FM lost last year in the first round, done, over, move on..........don't you think the team, the coach and the players suffered enough over that loss. To have the talent, the depth and don't forget all the hype/eyes that were on that team.... then to lose like they did, don't you think each and everyone associated with that team last year carries that burden with them, esp. the coach?

Train, what a lot of us don't understand is why you, a non FM parent, continues to bring this up. Let those coaches/parents/players deal with it on their own and let those associated with this year's program focus on "this year"... Or should we spend all of next year talking about how your Coach chose a 1 Game Playoff vs a Series and continue to bash him over and over about that decision.........

After your game you saw a little of this from the FM parents but they dropped it and moved on maybe because they are taking the high road on this one, maybe it is because they understand mistakes and maybe it is because they are focused on what is truly important their own program and not other programs.........

As to your comment on good players on the bench, Heck every program I know, that has more than 9 players on their team, has good players "on the bench"..and their parents will point that out to you......we don't always understand, like or approve of who/when the coach plays a player but then again we don't get paid the big bucks (yeah right) that they get to take the heat they take day in and day out on the decisions they make...........

Here is a novel idea: Maybe if you tell who you are UpnIn will do the same. I know he is a parent and that is all I am going to say on that one......

I am trying to figure out how Aaron Luna hitting a walk off home run to beat you, off of Paul Kelly by the way, is a choke job. Are you saying he choked by taking out Gaviglio in the 7th to bring in a 93 MPH closer? Didn't they go to Round Rock the year before?

I'd have to agree with VAN on this one. Gaviglio is an excellent true pitcher (not a thrower.) Aaron Luna is just a strong, strong hitter. When he is on, watch out.

Sounds to me like Train needs to get a life. Anyone who sits around and talks about other people and in negative tones.. .especially teenagers and educators needs to look in the mirror and wonder if they could find anything better to do with their life.

But, I have come up with a way for him to make a high school baseball program better.... Check this out:

Go to college, get a degree, then take your teaching tests to get certified to teach in Texas, then apply to be a coach somewhere. Then coach however you want... it is America, you can do whatever it is you want.

Oddly enough the people in this "circle" who talk about how things coulda shoulda been NEVER go out and accomplish by themselves. So much easier just to be a talker in this world instead of a DOer...

Train, don't know you but would love to come watch your HS team in the playoffs whenever it is that you get them there.

Train, quite living in the past. Last year is last year and this year is this year. Its no doubt they had a more talented individuals last year. I didn't say team. This group although not as talented plays together as a team. That carries you a long way.

He wants to dwell on last year because his coach made such a bad decision this year. Now all he can do is volunteer to work at the concession stand for other people's playoff games at his yard.

Without more recruiting, they don't have the pitching to win a series against 17's & 18's like the above.... but the best teenage team around may be the Dallas Tigers 15U team.

The best teenage team around is the 17U Tigers. Linty Ingram has put together a great team.

And the only reason it isn't 18U DBAT is because half their players won't be playing summer ball locally this year

I kind of figured many 18 year old teams lost considerable amount of players, or at least the best ones. Didn't the 17U Tiger team beat the 18U Tiger team last year? I think they did fairly handedly.

Tigers 15U should be really good, especially with Tommy and Steve Arias coaching them....wait, I thought we were talking about FM v. SL....let's get back to the FM bashing.

Actually, I think Train adds some spice to an uptight crowd. I might agree some tracks are laid ( can I type laid?)which offend and I would not make those statements. But all in all, the Train is entertaining and I am happy to read most of his posts.
