Whats the best/quickest footwork for a second baseman taking a double play ball from third or short?? Right now i've been circling the bag and sliding my back foot as i get the ball and geting out of the way of the runner. So Please let me know if there's a faster way to roll it up thanks

There was a video Mark Johnson put out on Middle Infieldwork...it was excellent and i got a lot out of it....

i usually (for just a regualar dp ball) approach the bag, within about 5 feet of the bag i chop step/break down and stop about 1- 1/2 foot from the bag, as i get ready for the ball to come, i put up my hands (together bare hand beside the glove) and assuming the throw comes straight in, i step into the ball with my right foot onto the bag and transfer the ball, throw (usually side arm to help the runer slide) and then either get the heck out of the way if i have time, or i just jump....this all happens in a few seconds....
like i said...the video is a good watch
Well said Pearl.

One thing I'll add, as a second baseman, is that you make your movement based on the side the throw is on. If the 3rd baseman throws it to your left of the bag, I like to step inside the bag, coming across to make the throw. I usually stand back behind the base, out of the danger zone, if the throw is to my right.
