That said, I do think that agility drills that focus purely on moving the feet quicker and more accurately are a good form of repetition that will help the fielder. In addition to taking ground balls every day & practicing the pivot.

Are you down & ready when the pitch leaves the pitcher's hand? Properly balanced? Feet not spread too far?

Are you watching the bat, rather than the pitch, as the pitch approaches the plate?

Are you getting a good jump on the ball when it is put in play?

Getting a good approach?

There are things other than pure footspeed that are involved.
