Some of you may already know of the site, Rate My Professors. I was browsing through some of my son's new profs when it occured to me that the comments posted by students are really a goldmine of information on how a particular prof teaches, how they construct their tests (mainly lecture material or mainly texts), their apparent likes and dislikes, etc.........all of which could be helpful in knowing how to approach a particular course and how to best prep for test time.

Thats funny my son was on there last night. that is a gold mine. He was going to drop a class and ended up keeping it because its a math class and the rating was extremely high and everyone said he was one of the best math teachers they ever had. So for my son a good math teacher makes a lot of difference in how you do in a math class.
And very true to look up teachers before you sign up for classes. good tool.
