Force Out

Situation> 0 out, runner on 1st. Batter hits groundball to ss , ss staggers to 2nd base and falls down and has possession of ball in glove and tags second base with his bare hand, is this a legal force out ? if so , can you please provde rule number in book.

Yes it is a force. You will find it in the definitions. It doesn't make any difference on a force what you touch the base with. If you are areguing with somebody ask them to show you the rule that says anything about using a foot.

NFHS rule 2-24 art 1

A force out is a putout during which a runner who is being forced to advance is tagged out or is put put out by a fielder who holds the ball while touching the base toward which the forced runner is advancing.
