Runners on first and second
The ball is hit too the SS
The SS tags second base and precedes to throw to third for the force
However the runner retreated back to second base .
Is he allowed to return becasue the force was removed or is he obligated to run to third.

Once the run from first is out, the runner on second is no longer forced to third. Technically he can return to 2nd, but it is an unorthodox situation.
