Issue happened today in the Ky state highschool playoffs.

The home team didn't have their helmets and didn't realize it until it was their time to bat.

The visiting team let them borrow helmets and they played the game but what is the rule regarding this if the other team didn't let them borrow helmets.

There isn't a rule that would specifically address this in most cases.

I think most competent umpires would suspend the game and let the league sort it out.

The rule is 1-5-1 (NFHS) No batter would be allowed in the batter's box without a helmet. If a team could not access helmets the game would not be played and the league or state would decide on what came next.
